Lydia woke up with no voice but no other symptoms. This day was cold... yes this midwest girl thought it was cold. It was cold enough that we went and bought the kids blankets.
We had a slower start to the morning and headed into the park in time for our brunch reservation at Tusker House. Then we headed to Kilmonjaro Safaris. Next we rode Flights of Passage and Navi River Journey. At this point we were cold and were done with Animal Kingdom.
Brent ran back to our hotel to work on oxygen batteries (we had one that was not working right) and mom, dad, the girls and I took a bus to Poly.
When we entered the lobby there was a woman making lays. Jilli started to watch her and loved to see all of the flowers. The woman gifted Jillian a lay. It was SO sweet. A manger also came up and started talking to us and while Jillian talked to the person making the lays he went and got both girls a stuffed Mickey Mouse. It was so kind and such a magical moment. Jilli loved seeing how lays were made... these are definitely two very special cast members... not because they gave my kids things, but because they were so kind to them and included them.
We looked around that the Christmas decorations and then headed outside to walk the path to the Grand Floridian. We enjoyed looking at the huge tree and listening to the live music. We saw the gingerbread house and bought gingerbread. I don't normally like gingerbread but this was yummy!
Next we took the monorail to the Contemporary and looked at their gingerbread display. Brent met us at the Contemporary and we had dinner at the quick service restaurant. We all LOVED what we had. We then walked to the Magic Kingdom and grabbed a bus back to our hotel.
My dad and I want out to the bridge and watched illuminations from outside of our hotel. Once we got the kids hooked up Brent and my dad went to Abracadabar for drinks.
| Lydia and Brent both fell asleep on the safari lol |
