Disney Trip 2018 Day 3

We woke up early and Lydia was feeling better... no fever and was back to herself.

We started the say with Starbucks and waffles from Sleepy Hallow. Then we headed to the Buzz ride where we got to ride twice because there was not a wait for the wheelchair car. We looked around in the Emporium for a little while and then headed someplace special...

Jilli and Lydia got to have their haircut at the barber shop on Main Street! It was Lydia's first haircut. They did an amazing job. They let the girls play with light up Elsas while they got their hair cut.

Then we headed to Small World where we made it just before a crazy wheelchair line formed... next we went to Peter Pan and then Winnie the Pooh. We saw Mickey's Philharmagic and then met Cinderella and Elana of Avalor.

Then it was time for lunch... at Cinderella's Royal table! This has been a dream of Jillian and mine for a long time (neither of us has been there before). Lunch was a lot of fun and the food was really good. They gave everyone a wand and wishing star and Jillian was very anxious about what she was supposed to do with them so Snow White helped her... it was SO sweet!

Next we headed to Mine Train and then Enchanted Tales with Bell... this was one of the very few sad parts of the trip. We have done this attraction multiple times and every time she is picked to be an extra. This attraction works by kids playing different parts... being an extra is fine except Jilli never gets picked for anything but an extra and in the past she has not cared... but this time they gave her the prop to be an extra but did not let her even participate in the parade of kids (they told her to keep her wheelchair parked and not join). While all of the other kids participated (including Lydia) she asked me why they always gave her the pitty part but why they didn't really want her to participate. It broke my heart for her. She handled it well, even for being bummed, she was grown up about it and whisper her disappointment to me but did not make a seen about it. I might send something to Disney though because I am sure it is not their goal to exclude kids with disabilities in this show... but this is not a one time thing and maybe they just have not thought about it.

Next we headed to Space Mountin (adults only) and then Under the Sea with Little Mermaid. Then off to Dumbo and Goofy's Barnstormer. Next we had dinner at Cosmic Ray's and then headed to a spot for the fireworks. Fireworks can be really hard for Jilli and she was really anxious before them but she ended up enjoying them. We hung out in Magic Kingdom for a bit and watched the projection show and then headed back to our hotel. There was a long line of scooters waiting for our bus so we took the bus to Boardwalk and then walked over to our hotel.

Jilli decided she wanted to blow out the candle and then have us cut the cupcake into 1/4ths and have the adults share it
