Disney Trip 2018 Day 7

Jillian's birthday...

I woke up early in the morning to Jillian's heart rate at a scary level so I went over to check her and she was hot. My soul felt crushed... it was her big day... the day she had been planning for and talking about for months and her little body was letting her down. I gave her some Tylenol and went to the gift shop and bought Morin.
We had 8:30 breakfast reservations in the Magic Kingdom and Jilli could barely open her eyes. I sent everyone else to go have breakfast and Jilli and I stayed in the room.
About an hour later Jillian sat up, got herself out of bed and walked over and got dressed and started packing the backpack to go into the park. This was a complete change from the child I was looking at an hour ago that I was thinking we were going to need to call an ambulance for. I asked her how she was feeling and she said great. She was acting like she was totally fine. I called Brent and we decided that since she perked up so much we would try the park and bring her back to the room if she needed it.
Disney has a service called Minnie Vans which are run through the Lyft app and work similar to Lyft however they are painted like Minnie Mouse, have car seats and some are wheelchair accessible.  For the wheelchair accessible ones you can not use the Lyft app, you have to go to the front desk so Jilli and I headed to the desk and ordered a Minnie Van so she and I would not have to try to do the buses alone... its not that we could not do the buses just the two of us, but the Minnie Van was a lot easier.
Our Minnie Van driver was amazing! We played Disney Trivia the who drive. She was so sweet with Jilli and made sure I was comfortable with how secure the wheelchair was.
We got the Magic Kingdom and met up with the rest of our group. We headed over for our fast pass for Pirates but were 15min early for our Fast pass... but the ride currently had a 10min wait so we rode the ride standby and then rode the ride fast pass.
Next we headed over to Jingle Cruse where thankfully because it was early enough in the day there was not a backlog of wheelchairs.
Next we headed to Big Thunder Mt where Jilli got to ride for the first time... she LOVED it!
Next up... one of Jilli's bucket list rides... Splash Mt. She smiled so much on that ride. When I was close to her age I was so nervous on that ride but she had no fear. We wrapped the oxygen in a pancho and had it rest on top of our feet during the ride to keep it from getting wet.
Next we headed to lunch at Be Our Guest which was yummy and gave Jilli a time to rest.
Our friends Linda and Russ then met us and we went to Tiki Room and Country Bear Jamboree.
They wanted to take Jilli birthday shopping so we headed over to Big Top to look at toys and solve a problem... we pin trade and Jilli had a pin she told me she didn't want to trade but I didn't tell Brent and he traded it (for a pin he thought Jilli would like) and our little girl who is normally very rational was sobbing. Thankfully the pin that was traded is sold in a mystery pack and we were so lucky that we got that pin in the first pack we bought!
Next we rode Dumbo and then the haunted Mansion.
The girls all went meet Moana since the Christmas party had started and the boys went to meet Jack Skellington... the girls were sucessful... the boys stood in line for a long time but eventually left line because it was not moving.
We got Starbucks and found our place for the castle lighting show. Brent and Russ stayed with the girls while the rest of us rode People Mover and picked up cookies and hot chocolate from the treat spots.
It was raining off and on so the lighting show was modified and then the parade came through. By this point both girls fell asleep waiting for the castle lighting but they both kept waking up during the parade and waving to a character or two and then fall back to sleep.
We headed to Pacos Bills for some dinner and then back to Main Street to watch the fireworks. Mom, Brent and Russ all got ice cream to eat during the fire works...

and then we headed back to our hotel.
