Hollywood Studios
We woke up early for breakfast reservations and took a boat from our hotel to the park. Being able to walk into Epcot and boat to Hollywood Studios was a HUGE advantage because there are only spots for two wheelchairs/scooters on each bus at Disney and often there is a line to use those wheelchair spots so the less we needed to use the buses the easier it was.
Our breakfast reservations were at Hollywood and Vine for the Disney Jr breakfast. Sofia the first, Doc McStuffins, Roadster racer Goofy, and Vampirina were all at breakfast. We also found out at breakfast that in the last year they have stopped using latex gloves at most restaurants at Disney. This is amazing for me because it means that I don't have to have each dish hand washed for me. It also means I can share food with the other people at my table because it is safe for me to eat off of their plate.
The characters started to come around and we got food from the buffet and noticed that Lydia was acting kind of funny. It takes Lydia a while to warm up to characters at the parks so at first we thought she was just not liking them being at our table but when I picked her up to give her a hug I noticed that she felt warm. Mom and I left breakfast with Lydia and headed to first aid... 100.3 temp :( They gave her some Tylenol and we walked around with her for a few minutes. You could tell when the Tylenol kicked in because she became like her normal self and was talking and singing. We decided to carry on with our day if she was feeling that much better.
We headed to Toy Story Mania. Jilli loves this ride because they have a wheelchair accessible car. There was a bit of a wait for the car but when we were finished playing the first round there was no one waiting for the car so they let us ride again. Sometimes I feel bad when magic like that happens because I know there are other people who are waiting in a 45min line to ride and they only get to go once, but I also remember that there are many rides were we have to wait double the normal wait time for an accessible ride car to be available, so in the end it is likely a wash... and Jilli thought getting to ride twice was amazing. Lydia loves the ride and laughed her way through... she scored 0 points but had the best time.
We then headed over to Slinky Dog Dash! Jilli is tall enough for this ride so dad, Brent and I took her on. She loved it... I would have liked it better if it was not raining so hard.
Next we headed to Tower of Terror. This was another ride that Jilli was able to do for the first time because she is finally tall enough. We were a little nervous to do it with the oxygen however we try hard not to let medical things slow us down. Jilli rode between Brent and I and we held onto her oxygen. She loved the ride!
It was then raining really hard so we grabbed some Starbucks and ate a snack to ride out the rain for a bit.
We decided to take the girls to meet Olaf (Brent rode Star Tours)... and it was pure Disney Magic. Lydia was nervous to meet him so the cast member manning the line sang the ABCs with her to help her be less nervous. Olaf was amazing. He sang with the girls and gave kisses and was silly. He even signed Jilli's autograph book which is not something he normally does. As we went to leave Olaf he asked us to wait and motioned to the cast member that he wanted to give Jilli a gift. They went and looked for a gift for Jilli and came back with a stuffed Minnie Mouse. It was SO sweet. I was in happy tears when we left Olaf (sorry to all of the people behind us in line...)
We then headed to ride Alien Swirling Saucers and dad took Lydia back to first aid because as the meds wore off she was getting really sleepy and started to get warm again. She was like that all day... she would have a great 4 hours and then would get tired and need more meds. We then had a small lunch at Andi's Lunch Box (yummy) and headed back to do Slinky Dog so my mom could ride. Neil Patrick Harris rode in the car in front of us... and I lost my headband on the ride :(
Mom, dad, the kids and I headed to Muppet Vision 3D and Brent rode Tower of Terror again. Then we headed to the Frozen Sing-a-long which is one of our favorite shows!
We ate dinner at Backlot Express and then headed up to First Aid to swap oxygen batteries and get Lydia meds. While we were waiting outside of First Aid I spotted someone... Tim Tracker... Tim does one of our favorite vlogs that Jilli watches all of the time (he vlogs Disney). We went closer and waited to the side until he was finished vlogging and then said hi. Tim has a tag line at the end of his videos and he says that if you see him out in the parks you can asked to say the tagline in the video... I am not normally a person to ask for something... however I figured it was Jilli's chance so I asked Tim if Jilli could do the tag line and he said sure. You can CLICK HERE to watch the video... Jilli is in the last minute of it.
We then headed to Hollywood Boulevard to see the show on the Tower of Terror and watch it "snow." Next we headed into Fantasmic... it was an interesting show... one of the boats crashed but everyone was ok. We headed out to see Jingle Bell Jingle Bam and then took the boat back to our hotel.
