On New Years Day this year we told Jilli Happy News Years and she started to cry. We were very perplexed... we ended up figuring out was that she was sad it was New Years because that meant that the Christmas party at Disney World was over and she did not get to go.
After a couple of months of talking, we ended up planning a trip to Disney World to celebrate my mom and Jillian's birthdays... and go to the Christmas party.
We were gone for 8 days so I will be making a new blog post for every day. This may take a few days since this is one of the busiest weeks of the year... and Jilli came home with a fever (I'll write about the kids fun health for the week as the week goes on...) and both kids and I woke up with runny noses today... joy!
We woke up at 2am on Saturday morning (lets be honest, I barely slept) and got the kids dressed and headed to the airport. The drive to the airport is smooth at 3:30 in the morning. We flew out a of a different airport this time because there was a huge price difference between the two airports. Going through security was easy as well as pre boarding with the kids.
Jilli watched Frozen and played Angry Birds during the plane ride. Lydia played iPad for a bit and then slept. It was an easy flight down.
We landed in Orlando and checked in for the Magical Express. It was our first time flying with the wheelchair and having it on the Magical Express. The bus driver who loaded Jillian up was amazing!
We headed to our hotel... the Beach Club. We rented vacation club points for someone and were able to all stay in one room with a kitchen which made life easier. We checked our things with bell services since our room was not ready yet.
Since it is Christmas time the hotel was all decorated. Our hotel has a huge carousel made out of ginger bread in the middle of the lobby. It smelled AMAZING!
Then we headed to Epcot. Our hotel was close enough we were able to walk to the park. We were able to take care of the disability pass and stroller tag at the guest services outside of the park which was really helpful. We ate lunch at Sunshine Seasons and the rode Living with the Land. The boys to Jilli and Lydia to meet Joy and Sadness while mom and I rode Sourin and then I took the kids to meet Mickey, Goofy and Minnie while the boys rode. (the boys also rode Test Track single rider) Next we rode Figment and then were off to our dinner reservations at Coral Reef. We had a very yummy meal!
Our dinner included tickets to the candlelight processional. The host that night was Whoppi! It was AMAZING! I cried more then once during the performance. If you have not seen this show before there are videos of it on youtube and I highly suggest watching it... you def will be in the Christmas mood after!
We headed back to our hotel to get all of our things settled and then went to bed... we were tired!
