If you are looking for a change to get your hands involved at Ronald McDonald House we are serving a meal there the Saturday of Easter weekend, if you would like to join please contact me!
On to a funny story. Last night I was texting with my friend Stacy and Jilli was sitting next to me. She wanted to text Stacy too but I told her she would have to wait her turn. She looked at me as said that her favorite emoji is the poop emoji but she wondered how you could make a poop emoji with your butt because the poop needs to be creamy and in a pile and have a face. She then said that she would send Stacy a poop emoji so Stacy could see her favorite emoji too, but that if she can actually make a poop emoji with her butt that I can have it. Well thank you Jilli! We are defiantly 4 now!
Jilli has also become very interested in adding and subtracting. She has a puzzle that had adding and subtracting on it and we did it together last week. She grasped the concept with pictures really fast. This weekend we bought the addition/subtraction add on to one of her Mickey games on her iPad and now she is playing a subtraction game on ABC Mouse. Math seems to come easy to her and she really like it.
Lydia is working on figuring out how to move. She doesn't roll over yet but has started to be sitting and playing with something and then lean forward and end up on her belly. Once on her belly she ends up slowly sliding backwards. It is driving her crazy but the steps she needs to do to figure it all out. She wants to move so badly. She is a determined little girl. She has also very much been in a momma phase right now. There are times she wont even look at anyone else. Sleep for Lydia is not as bad as it was there for a little bit but the bags under my eyes are heavy today! Thankfully only one night has week was she up until midnight. Slowly but surely a little sleep happens sometimes.
Both girls have also grown slightly. Jilli is fitting in a couple of 3T things and Lydia is fitting in a couple of 9mo things. This weekend my plan is to go through closets and pull out what doesn't fit (ugh, the thought of that is already making me tired!). In little baby sizes we are keeping some of it because we have talked about fostering or adopting kids with special needs once the girls are older so we are keeping some for that but we are also getting rid of a bunch of stuff once Lydia outgrows it. My plan is to have a rummage sale this summer but if you are needing something in baby girl size let me know.
Well its time to go dish of the girls meds and get the day rolling!
| Miss Lydia today! Both of the girls are wearing heart shirts today! (Lydia's tube decided to disconnect as I was putting her in her seat... oh tubes!) |
