Oh Runny Nose

We are having a chill Saturday at our house... just what we all needed!

Wednesday my mom and I had planned to take Jilli to a children's museum or something along those line but since she was not feeling the greatest on Tuesday we decided it would be best if we stayed a little closer to home, so we checked out the Lake Geneva Museum. Its small but cute. We spent about an hour and a half there looking around. Jilli liked to sit in the fire truck and the old school desks. Its not someplace I would go out of my way to go back to, but for a close to home rainy day activity it worked. After the museum we went for lunch and then went to the toy and book store.  We ran to Target and picked a few things up and then headed home. By this point Jilli needed another neb. We spent Wednesday night just relaxing and hanging out.

Thursday morning Jilli woke up and seamed to be feeling a lot better. Her nose was not running at all and she was happy. We ran to the grocery store. Here is my Amanda rant for the day... we have one grocery store in town and Walmart (our Target has a very small food section and nothing fresh). There are foods that they don't carry at Walmart so sometime I go to the grocery store. The grocery store has fun car carts right as you walk in the door (there is no hiding them for your child, you have to walk past them to enter). Jilli thinks car carts are awesome (the germ factor grosses me out, but I get over that for her happiness). Its all well and good while we are in the store shopping however they do not let you take these car carts into the parking lot, so as you are attempting to check out you have to get your kid and all of your stuff out of the car cart... sometimes they are nice and get you a regular cart to transfer your stuff into... sometimes they just snap at you that you can not bring the cart out of the store however do nothing to make the process smoother. After the first couple of times of this happening I started to just buy what I absolutely needed at that store so that it would be a small enough amount that I could carry my groceries and Jilli (and a feeding pump, 2 oxygen tanks and a diaper bag) to the car incase I got to the check out and they were a pain (and mind you my 3yr old does not get why at the grocery store she cant stay in the cart all the way to the car so she starts crying at check out). Now what really gets me is that Brent has brought Jillian to the grocery store and they let him take the car cart out of the store... apparently they feel sorry for him but me 7mo pregnant... not so much! Add to that I figured out while we were there on Thursday that they blow up latex balloons (they were not while I was there, there were not any inflated latex balloons while I was there just signs that advertised them having latex balloons for sale) so I think from now on I am stuck just going to Walmart because my latex allergy has gotten to the point where I just can't risk walking in and they are inflating balloons.
Thursday afternoon VNA came with her oxygen supply and they brought a new feeding pump. On Monday the door on her pump cracked and if the door is not in right then the pump will not run. I taped it together to limp us through but was grateful that they sent a new one on Thursday. The new pump runs faster then the last pump... its funny how different each pump runs even though it is the same pump from the same brand... but as long as it runs I am happy. The little things in life right (maybe her pump running is considered a big thing since it helps to keep her alive...)
Thursday night we had Jaime, Jason and Emerson over. We are so blessed buy their friendship! I made grilled cheese out of sourdough bread, fresh mozzarella, basil leafs, and tomatoes... it was so easy and so yummy!
Most of the day Thursday Jilli felt pretty good. She did not need any nebs and her nose was runny in the afternoon but most of the day it was good. At bed time she kept telling me that she was not tired and fought going to sleep until after 11pm, but she was good about laying in her bed.
Friday morning I got her up and we went to the library for story time. She loves story time. She told the other kids that she has no stuffed animals at home... I just laughed... she has more stuffed animals then she could play with in a day! We came home and she worked on using dot markers to find letters and played with play-dough for a long time. At night we were just hanging out and she cuddled up with me to watch TV and ended up falling asleep on my lap around 7:15. Brent brought her up to bed. She woke up for a little while at 10pm when Brent hooked her pump up but then went back to sleep and slept until 9:15am! I don't know the last time this child slept so long! She must have really needed it! I woke up around 7:45 to her laughing in her sleep so it must have been happy sleep!
Friday she still had a yucky nose off and on. It was not running but she would sneeze and it was like the flood gates opened but then she would be fine again for a while. She did develop a rash on her neck on Friday but it is because her nose has been plugged for a week so she is mouth breathing which is causing her to drool a ton (like the other day I went to pick her up and she had drooled so much her armpits were wet!).
Today we have had a low key day. She is still sneezing every once and a while causing snot to go all over the place, but for the most part she is fine. She has not needed any nebs today! We have puttered on a few things around the house but otherwise we have just hung out. We needed a low key day!

I need to give a big shout out to my awesome hubby! He works a full time job and then comes home and helps out around here. I have been very tired this pregnancy and it is taking everything out of me to do what I have to do and Brent has stepped up and done the rest. He is great and I am so thankful!

All of the sudden Wednesday morning there was a loud noise outside... it was 6 wild turkeys running around our yard!

5 of the turkeys flew away... one was rather confused on how to get out of the yard so Jillian said she would put on a magic show to help it disappear

She wanted to see what sitting in a church pew felt like

Watch out... Jilli at the wheel!

She thought ringing the bell was cool

Working on dotting all of the "L"s

Sometimes you just need to hang out in a full tutu!

Cuddling on Friday night!

Asleep in my arms (little miss in my tummy was kicking at her, lol)

Cuddling this morning watching Doc McStuffins

Daddy fixed the rocking chair this morning. She is excited that is it something both her and her sister can use

Her cannula came off of her tank so she fixed it by herself for the first time today!
