Subratct two meds

I have been trying to blog for days. Instead I have been running around like a crazy person. The past week has been busy, leaving me sleepy, thus starting this post multiple times but not finishing it for a few days.
She was so silly after her bath!

Last Saturday we had a fun day! In the morning we headed for Church because Brent had a training. Jillian and I hung out in the lobby and played. After that we headed up to Children's. My cousin is up there right now for a longer stay so we went to hang out for a little bit. Jillian looked really confused at first because she is use to being the one in the bed. After a while she warmed up to just hanging out there. After we left there we headed over to Mayfair Mall and met up with Jaime and Jason. Pre Jillian we would do fun days in Milwaukee every few months, we we decided to have our first Milwaukee fun day since Jillian was born. It was not as crazy as pre Jilli (we would do things like eat every course of a meal at a different restaurant around town) but we had a lot of fun. We hung out around the mall and then went to PF Changs for dinner. I love fun days with friends!
Sunday we went to Church and then lunch at Danny's. We came home and watched the closing ceremonies of the Olympics. I felt like I was on a boat because my ears were so full of gunk, so I did not do much all day.
She is my little reader!

Monday night we went out for dinner in Lake Geneva with Brent's parents. Jillian had a lot of fun playing with her blocks.
Tuesday night we were suppose to have Bible study, however the person that was coming called and said she thought she was coming down with something and did not want to pass it on to Jillian. As much as I love to see people, I love it when they choose not to knowingly spread germs to my little one. She catches enough just doing normal things. It shows me that people really care about her when they choose not to risk her getting sick.
Wednesday night some of Jillian's favorite people came over (well, ours too!). I was blessed to see Jaime and Jason twice in one week. Jillian was a ham, but that is nothing new. We watched the new How I Met Your Mother together. Wednesday was Jillian's first full day off of all of her acid reflux and motility meds in preparation for her tests on 3/5-3/6. While she was at school her g port kept popping open from pressure.

Thursday after work we went to go see my cousin Jake again, up at Children's. We brought up dinner and hung out for a little bit. The boys talked cars, which for someone who drives a mini van, it mostly goes over my head. I was good to see him and his brother. We were joking that he needs to work on the nurses to get us a good room for next week. We will be on the same floor he is so we are hoping to be close to him. As we were leaving, we rode down in the elevator with who I would guess was a dad of a kiddo there (he had an orange tag on). He looked exhausted and I just wanted to tell him we understand that look he has, but I never know how to say things like that to a stranger in an elevator. He started to talk to Jillian and it was past her bed time so she was sleepy and bashful. He said "It's ok, I'm sure this is not where you want to be." My comment back to him was "actually, this is one of her favorite places. She is so happy here." His comment back was "your right, this is a great place for healing." Jillian then started to warm up to him a little and smiled. Hopefully a few minutes in the elevator with Jillian made his night a little bit better.
Friday morning was long. I got the call in the morning that my great uncle died. It was like a hard hit out of left field. I remember him being at all the family functions growing up. He was at my wedding, my grandparent's parties, family events. It just seams crazy to me that he is gone. He was such a nice guy. I remember seeing him at the bike track with my grandpa, working the rescue squad. I remember playing in their back yard on warm summer evenings at picnics. He was a great man, and a great part of our community. He will be missed by many. I got the phone call from my mom around 8:30am. At 9am a woman came over to go over all of the paperwork for attempting to enroll Jillian for Katie Beckett insurance for kids with special needs. Currently she sits borderline on qualifying so all the paperwork is being submitted to the state and we will see what they say. They told us it will be around 5 months before we hear anything.
Daniel Tiger came out on DVD this week! Right before our hospital stay, YEAH!

In the afternoon Jillian and I worked on packing for our hospital stay. We have to keep Jillian entertained for hours with probes and such in her. Over the past month I have been stocking up on toys to bring with us to help keep her entertained. We shall see.
This was her holding her baby after she poked them all with her syringe

Friday evening we headed into Kenosha to see family. We went in and right to my grandparents' house. My dad and brother brought over Chinese food and we hung out and reminisced.  It was right where I needed to be. It was a hard night for everyone. We came back to my parents and put Jillian to bed and my mom and I laid in my parent's bed and talked and cried, just like we would when I was younger and something big would happen.
Cuddling with grandma after a stressful day

This morning we got up and hung out around the house. Mom, Jillian and I went over to Walmart. We found two of the new Daniel Tiger books. Jillian was so excited. Then we went to a baby shower for my cousin Annie's little guy. He is a fellow kiddo that spends a lot of time at Children's. H e was a super preemie. As much as the circumstances around both of our kids health stuff is stressful, it has brought our families closer together. It was good to see everyone at the shower. Jillian had a fun time hanging out with everyone and being a ham.
Jillian made friends with Jess during the baby shower

In prepping for Jillian's test she has had to wean off of her acid reflux meds and motility meds. She has been happier then we expected. She has had a hard time sleeping and is getting up a few times in the middle of the night crying but then will go back to sleep. She is swallowing reflux a lot and while we were at the baby shower today she turned her white onesie yellow with stomach acid exciting her mouth. We only have a few more days left until her tests. Hopefully she stays this happy until then.

We have a few prayer requests for this next week:
  • Pray for my grandfather. His best friend just died.
  • Prayers for my entire family. A great man wetn to heaven this week, and while he is in a better place, it is still hard. It is hard to think of the family events that are coming up in the next few months that he will not be at. Pray for strength for his wife and kids this week and the weeks to come.
  • Pray that vomit  does not turn into pneumonia.
  • Pray for test results. I am SO nervous about this week. I am so worried that test results are going to come back and be inconclusive, or not accurately show Jillian's symptoms. The only other time we met with this doctor was not one of my most pleasant times up at Children's. I am worried about us disagreeing again. As much as we don't hope for things to be wrong with our child, things are not right with Jillian's digestion. The best thing would be to figure out what is going on so we can best help her. Please help these tests to accurately show what her gastric motility is like. No child should be puking stomach bile for no reason.
  • Pray for the staff at my work. We just got some big news about a former student being really sick. Please pray for the family, the little boy and all of the staff. This is really hard on everyone.
